Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection Organics Recycling Panel: Turning Earth’s Blake Sturcke Presents on the Development of Organics Recycling and Anaerobic Digestion Infrastructure

News & Events on January 28th, 2014

Please join Turning Earth’s Blake Sturcke at Connecticut DEEP Solid Waste Management’s Organics Recycling Panel on January 28 to learn more about organics recycling, anaerobic digestion and Turning Earth’s central Connecticut project. Blake will join a panel discussing the promising manner in which the organics recycling market is developing relative to Connecticut’s goal to develop state of the art organics recycling capacity to drive down solid waste disposal costs and make more appropriate use of the state’s resources. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (“DEEP”) has been actively encouraging projects aimed at diverting food wastes and other organic material from the waste stream. DEEP’s 2006 Solid Waste Management Plan identified food waste recycling facilities as the highest priority infrastructure gap relative to DEEP’s policy objectives.  Hope to see you there!
