Turning Earth is delighted to sponsor the American Biogas Council reception honoring retiring Senator Ben Nelson for his work as a long time supporter of biogas. During his two terms in the Senate, Senator Ben Nelson demonstrated a strong record of supporting and encouraging bioenergy and biogas. In 2002, the Senator helped establish the first energy title in a Farm Bill. In 2005, he helped pass into law the renewable fuels standard (RFS). Senator Nelson also has introduced tax credit legislation to comprehensively promote the development and production of biogas. The reception will take place at the DC offices of ML Strategies on May 15, 2012 from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Senator Nelson will arrive promptly at 5:30pm. ABC Reception Invitation 5/15/12
