Sustainable Agriculture

Turning Earth will utilize Controlled Environment Agriculture (“CEA”) technology to produce local food for local people on a sustainable and year round basis, even in cold climates.  We can do this cost effectively because we will be powering our greenhouses primarily from internally generated energy sources as well as leveraging key by-products from our commercial composting operations such as heat, steam and CO2 to create optimal, low cost conditions for high yield, year round local food production.

CEA has been around for a long time.  Greenhouses, a form of CEA technology, can be a tough business due to the high energy costs.  Within a Triple Play™ environment, CEA becomes a very attractive and viable part of our integrated approach to organics management.
